2018 Black Friday Haul

2018 Black Friday Haul

Day 12_ Relax, Recharge, and Get Ready (1)

This Black Friday (actually, I kind of went out on Thursday) I bought myself a couple of things I had been wanting to try for a while. I also ordered some gifts for others, but I want to keep those a secret so I won’t be listing them here!

Here’s my 2018 Black Friday Haul!

Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette

When I was down at Mohegan Sun for the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament a few weekends ago, I had some time to kill so I went over to the Sephora in the casino. I came across the Huda Beauty Obsession Palettes and immediately fell in love. I’m not always the best with keeping up with eyeshadows and makeup in general, especially the stuff in Sephora. It’s usually a bit out of my price range. But these colors were gorgeous!

I usually go for purples or neutral browns, so when I laid eyes on the Ruby palette I knew this was something I wanted to give a try. I wanted to branch out into some colors I wouldn’t normally use. I’m not the best at makeup, but I think it’s fun and makes me feel good about myself.

Bath and Body Works Plug In and Scents

While I was putting together a post series for the future, I kept writing about these wall plug in scent things from Bath and Body Works. While I was at Mohegan I also killed some time in Yankee Candle. I love me some candles, but I always forget to light them so I just keep putting it off. There’s nothing quite like getting all comfy in bed and then realizing you forgot to light that relaxing candle.

So plug ins are a good choice for me. It also can keep running while I’m at work. So when Bath and Body Works had a Buy 3 Get 3 Free promotion during Thanksgiving, I hopped in my car and headed to the mall. (Saving me about $10 in shipping!) I picked up two of the nightlight plug ins, one for my bedroom and one for my living room, and six scents.

My bedroom is now sporting Lavender Vanilla and my living room has Snowflakes and Citrus. I never knew how much a nice smell can change your mood and change the atmosphere of an area. I’m absolutely loving my purchases!

Bobbi Brown Face Base & Bobbi To-Go Hydrating Face Cream

I’ve been wanting to try out the Bobbi Brown Face Base for the longest time! I’ve heard such amazing things about it and I’m always looking for a good primer to keep my makeup on for the day. I have really pale/red-ish skin so when my makeup starts to fade the rosacea on my cheeks starts to bleed through.

They were having a sale on Sunday after Thanksgiving where everything on the Bobbi Brown website was 25% off, free shipping, and you got 6 free minis if you spent %60.

You hear that? 6 FREE MINIS!

So not only did I get these minis, the Face Base and Hydrating Cream cost the same amount as the Face Base originally anywhere else. I was having a rough day when I ordered it, so I was going to treat myself, damnit!

I bought a mattress and boxspring on Black Friday (no sale though) after working! I did get some good weekend deals, though, at Barnes and Noble. Love the haul. Keep up the great work!

    1. Thank you!!

Oof. Beds in general are expensive! I hope it was at least a good price. I would have loved to go to B&N but I have a habit of buying books and then never reading them. So I’m sticking to what I currently own at the moment.

I would have done a better job avoiding BN if I didn’t work at one lol… and my bed is super comfy!
