Little Miss Short Stuff Top Blog Posts of 2018

This past year has been incredible for me. Little Miss Short Stuff will turn 1 years old on January 11th, and I’ve such a great time writing and interacting with all the lovely people who read, comment, and follow my blog.

Here’s how far we’ve come:

  • The blog itself has gone from nothing when we started out last January to a total of 109 followers! That means so much to me. Like, you guys have no idea. Thank you <3
  • On Facebook we have a whole 37 likes. Considering I’m not very active there, and with the recent scandals with info leaks, I’m pretty okay with that. (Though you should probably give the page a like if you haven’t already!)
  • For the first time on any Twitter account I’ve owned/ran we have more followers than people I’m following with 231 followers! You should head over and give me a follow and tweet me some recommendations of people to follow.
  • Instagram has really grown. It’s become the easiest for me to work on lately. As of writing this post we have exactly 100 followers which means I get audience analytics! Woohoo!
  • We also started a Tumblr, if anyone’s still using that anymore. What I like is you can send anonymous asks. Too anxious to use your email? Just send an anonymous ask!

As for the top posts, I was honestly a bit surprised at this. But I will definitely take a look at the top 5 and more to see where I can improve, what posts you guys want to see, and how to grow and better than I am now.

  • How to Recover From Your Weekend Bender: I was really surprised this was the TOP post of all time. Apparently you guys still go out and party like a rockstar and need some advice when you wake up in the morning. That’s okay. I’ve been there, done that, and now consider going out after work an eventful evening.
  • Crushes, Rejection and Heartbreak: Dealing and Moving On: This one doesn’t surprise me. I feel like a big part of most peoples’ lives is looking for love, whether that be romantic love, familial love, or platonic friendship love. When you get your emotions in a tizzy and someone rejects that, it can be a problem. I recount my experience with just that and I’m glad to see it’s been helpful.
  • TJ Maxx Mini Clearance Haul: What I Got: Clearly I need to get my butt back to TJ Maxx and do some more hauls! I plan on doing that now that the Christmas season is over and everything will be on sale. Your girl loves her some clearance rack.
  • College & Minimalism: How They Go Together and Why It’s Important: This was something I wrote way back when I tried a blog called Little Birdie Told You. I was constantly moving around that time so understanding how and why minimalism works in that kind of atmosphere was super beneficial. I wish I would have known that in college.
  • 12 Days of Christmas Self Care: Not surprised here! I’ve been big on self care lately and this series was super fun to put together. I can’t wait to come up with new mini series ideas and other ways to provide yourself the self care that you need.

While the top posts are good and fun, there’s the few at the bottom of the list that could use a bit more love. Check these out (they’ve all been updated, so take a look!):

  • 8 Things to Remember When Creating Your Resume: While unemployment rates are pretty low lately, you never know when things could go wrong. It’s also a good idea to have an update your resume regularly. You never know when that perfect job opportunity will fall into your lap, and you best be ready for it.
  • How to Get Your Financial Game Together as a Millennial: This is something I needed when I was in my late teens and early twenties. If I was more careful with my money in college I would have probably had more of a savings to go off of.
  • Bad Habits to Avoid in Your 20s: You know your girl’s had some bad habits and I’ve done just about everything on that list. Habits are hard to break, but identifying what they are is the first step.
  • How to Be Your Best Advocate in the Work Place: This is another post I needed when I was a bit younger. I’m still not very confrontational in general, but pushing for a raise that I feel is necessary, or making sure I’m not stepped all over are big things I’ve been working on.
  • What to Do When You Move into a New Apartment: You know I wrote this right after I moved. Right after I got a bleach stain on my favorite pair of pants because I was cleaning in my work clothes 🙁

That’s not all! In celebration of LMSS turning a whole 1 years old, I will be doing a giveaway! I don’t have all the details just yet, so sit back and follow me on the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to make sure you don’t miss out on any announcements!

Leave a comment, tweet me, leave a facebook comment or message, or hit me up on Instagram. Don’t forget to follow me on Pinterest!

Congratulations on having such a great year with your blog. It is really an awesome achievement. As far as what kind of posts you should do, I think more of the same would be good. Sharing your experiences and tips is really good. But also your style of blogging is what really makes it for me. Hopefully 2019 will continue to see more growth for your blog 🙂
