Christmas and the winter holidays are a time where you get to see family you haven’t seen in a while, gather around a table to have some great food, and indulge in the holiday spirit. But with the holidays comes the holiday stress!

I did my 12 days so that the final day is Christmas Eve because even if you don't do anything on Christmas Eve with family, you will most likely do so on Christmas Day. 12 Days of Christmas Self Care: Day 6

Christmas and winter holidays usually come with their own traditions. Maybe you have everyone over on Christmas Eve to open just one present, or you have a Christmas Dinner every Christmas Day. Or you could bake fresh cookies Christmas Eve, even after you've grown out of the "leave cookies out for Santa" age. Whatever it is, keep doing it. But what if you don't have any traditions? Personally, I don't have any, so I'm going to try and start one this year! Here are a few things you can do as a Christmas tradition.

Doing some exercise during the 12 days leading up to Christmas can be beneficial in more than just self care. Exercise can help relieve stress, and this time of year can be very stressful for people. Between last minute shopping, having to plan Christmas gatherings, dealing with family you haven't seen since last year, or just cramming at work or school, stress levels can get pretty high.
